The Term Frequency Listing is a useful tool for preparing search strategies. With it you can anticipate the approximate number of entries that will be retrieved with any particular index term. Every index term in the Bricks dictionary has a term frequency listing of the times that term occurs in the TULSA file. Following each term in the search result window are two numbers: the first indicates the total number of times that the term occurs in the TULSA file and the second indicates the number of times the term is weighted. For example, the term MINNELUSA FM occurs 267 times in the file, 124 times as a weighted term. This information is repeated in the relationship window, indicated as used: 267/124. MINNELUSA FM Examples with screenshots are available in the Bricks Users Guide. |
