Petroleum Abstracts Search Service (PASS) provides custom literature searches of the TULSA database and other related databases on a fee basis. Search results consist of bibliographic citations only or citations with abstracts, at the client's choice. PASS also offers a current awareness service for periodic updates of new entries to the TULSA file on a specified topic. TULSA search fees are based on each 1/2-hour of the searcher's time plus retrieval charges. Other search fees are based on 1/2 hour of the searcher's time plus expenses.

PASS can provide back-up or outsourced search services to complement a company's library staff. Customers may choose an on-call or retainer arrangement, using either their own or PASS' online access.
