If you have any questions about the renewal process, please contact David Brown or Ivana O'Brien, 918-631-2297.

PA Bulletin Distribution Will Remain Unchanged

Earlier this year, PA proposed changing the Petroleum Abstracts Bulletin from once a week to twice a week distribution. The proposed modification reflected an effort to increase the number of abstracts that PA publishes each year. Publishing two issues per week rather than one would have allowed PA to streamline some work processes and increase the total number of abstracts published each week. Based on feedback from subscribers, PA has decided not to implement the proposed distribution change at this time. Distribution of the Petroleum Abstracts Bulletin will continue to be once per week on Friday, with the publication date on Saturday. PA will continue our efforts to streamline work flow and increase productivity of our operations. We appreciate the input and helpful advice from our subscribers.

Selected Conferences List Available Online, in Print

PA has issued its list of Selected Conferences Covered, updated through July 2011. This publication lists about 250 of the worldwide conferences covered by PA. A PDF copy of the conferences list is available for downloading on PA's Web site, http://www.pa.utulsa.edu, under the Resources tab. For a printed copy of this publication, please contact Ivana O'Brien.

PA Provides WebEx Connection For Training, Presentations

PA maintains a subscription to the WebEx desktop sharing and phone conferencing tool. WebEx enables PA to offer online training, presentations and meeting access via a Web-and-phone connection. PA subscribers who want to discuss scheduling a WebEx training or presentation session should contact Pam Weaver.

PAnet Profile Will Cover Unconventional Resources

Because of the importance of unconventional resources in oil and gas Exploration and Production, PA is developing a special PAnet Profile search to identify relevant entries in the PA Bulletin. A PAnet Profile utilizes PA's indexing vocabulary to retrieve selected entries of interest from the PA Bulletin every week. Any PA subscriber organization that receives the PA Bulletin can order a special PAnet Profile or request a custom PAnet Profile. The unconventional resources PAnet Profile will be introduced at the SPE annual meeting in Denver.
